Week 21

Buenas tardes everyone! How are you all doing? Every week just flies by now, doesn't it? But that doesn't mean it wasn't a great week though!

Starting off on a great note, there was a problem with the phone lines last Monday. This wouldn't be a problem if it was just a normal day for a missionary. It was not a normal day. These Corona days are not normal. As missionaries, we now have to fully rely on technology to continue doing missionary work through messages, social media, phone calls, and video calls. We had to miss three lessons that day and it truly was a bummer indeed. But that's just how it be sometimes.

During these past couple of months, it has been a bit more difficult to find new people to teach, since we physically can't find new people cause we can't go outside to teach just yet. So we are basically reliant on the referrals of members if they know anyone that they feel would like to have a message with us. So as a mission we've made it a big focus to find new people, and we've seen the blessings from the work that we put into finding and teaching  people for the first time. It's always the coolest thing to teach someone something completely new for the first time about religion and our beliefs, and the happiness and joy that it brings them.

Also, yesterday was el Día de los Padres!! And I feel super bad for all of you, cause I lucked out with the best dad ever! A realization that I had when I was like 16 years old or something was the day that my dad went from just a parental unit of mine to literally one of my best friends. There would be times when we'd be sitting on the couch talking, and I finally just understood him, like reeeally understood where he was coming from - why he was the way that he was, why he said the things he said, and why he did the things that he did.

Everything my dad has done for my family has been out of love. The way we were raised, the trials that we faced, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we are built on have strengthened us to become a happier family. Even the times when he gets on your back because, for example, you were supposed to send your weekly email a week and a half ago 😅, I still know that he does everything because he cares. I can't wait to become a dad myself and be exactly like my dad, cause he did pretty good I guess haha. Love ya 😘

Speaking of which, sorry for sending this email super late! Believe it not, serving a mission is actually a lot of work jaja. Welp, see y'all pretty soon cause I got another email to write 😂 Love you all!
